About Us

Salamti Fellowship Program is a unique peace fellowship program by Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) under its peacebuilding campaign called Peace Without Borders. Shaoor initiated this flagship program on September 27, 2017 as one of the peace activities under the project AmnQalaab (Peace Revolution).

Salamti Fellowship Program is one of Pakistan’s residential fully-funded programs on the theme of peace building, tolerance and inclusivity. It is designed for young peace builders, community leaders, influencers and activists between the age of 18-35 years. The participants of this program carry diverse social, religious and thematic backgrounds that receive especially designed extensive trainings for 7 days. Through this program, we have 90 Salamti Fellows from 3 cohorts who are now working in 32 districts of Pakistan as Peace Agents and addressing the issues pertaining to intolerance and social injustice in their particular communities. These fellows are in a continuous connection with the Salamti Family and continue to work for the relief, development and capacity buliding of others in many different parts of the country.

The idea of Peace without Borders was conceived in May 2015 and its informal phase was launched and registered on 16th December 2015 at SFEA’s head office in Islamabad.

Building and emerging from the powerful and established platform of SFEA, Peace Without Borders would work both nationally and internationally connecting the peace builders and seekers at one common platform. The long-term goal of the PWB is to make one global platform where peace seekers and developers from around the world could connect and share their efforts.
