I have conducted  dialogue session with a group of friend on agenda of  Countering Violent Extremism related to sectarian violence and promoting Peace in the area. There were 6 participants and all of them were from different walks of life. One of them was related to media, one social worker, two of them were youth leader, one was common man. I used my previous knlowledge and latest concepts learn from online self-peace development during this dialogue session.

All of them have the unanimous opinion that sectarian violence was remained the root cause for extremism in the South Punjab(Jhang, Bahawalpur areas etc). Local people have not knowlede about it. They were being exploited on the name of reliogion. Few of them have the view point that Unemployment, lack of education and awareness , injustice in the distribution ofresources  , lack of proper trianing at home and school are the causes  for extremim in the area. Situation is getting worsen day by day.

All of us emphasized on the capacity building at individual level and state level [holding trainings and workshops related to peace and countering extremism, awareness campaigns] for the youth of the area. More avenues of employment should be provided for engaging youth. All these posotive steps will help to spread the message of peace and get rid the menace of extremism.
