1. What is Salamti Fellowship Program all about?
Salamti Fellowship Program is an extensive ONE WEEK long residential program for the peace seekers aged between 18-35 years from all across Pakistan. The selected participants will be living together at a common place for 7 days and learn from experts, peace gurus and each other through extensive week-long workshops, exercises and interactive sessions. Location of the fellowship will be disclosed later.

سلامتی فیلوشپ پروگرام کیا ہے؟
جواب: سلامتی فیلوشپ پروگرام پاکستان بھر سے 18 سے 35 سالہ امن کے متلاشی افراد کے لئے ایک جامع سات روزہ رہائشی پروگرام ہے۔ منتخب شرکاء سات دن ایک مشترکہ جگہ پر ساتھ رہیں گے اور ماہرین ، اساتذہٴ امن ، اور ایک دوسرے سے ورکشاپس ، مشقوں اور انٹرایکٹو سیشنوں کے ذریعے سیکھیں گے۔ فیلوشپ کے مقام کا انکشاف بعد میں کیا جائے گا۔

2. When will the fellowship start?
The fellowship is planned in September 2021. Please note that these are the tentative dates as we expect the current situation that we are in due to COVID-19 will get settled by then, hopefully.

فیلوشپ کب شروع ہوگی؟
جواب: فیلوشپ ستمبر ۲۰۲۱ میں منعقد کرنے کا ارادہ ہے ۔ براہ کرم نوٹ کریں کہ یہ عارضی تاریخیں ہیں کیوں کہ ہم توقع کرتے ہیں کہ COVID-19 کی موجودہ صورتحال اس وقت تک حل ہوجائے گی۔

3. Who is eligible to apply for this Fellowship?
To be eligible for Salamti Fellowship, you should be under the age of 35, must be a citizen of Pakistan and be fully available to participate during the complete 7 – day program.

کون اس فیلوشپ کے لئے درخواست دینے کا اہل ہے؟
جواب: سلامتی فیلوشپ کا اہل ہونے کے لئے، آپ کو 35 سال سے کم عمر، پاکستان کا شہری اور 7دن شرکت کرنے کے لئے مکمل طور پر دستیاب ہونا ضروری ہے-

4. Why is it important to fill the application form?
The application form is mandatory to qualify for Salamti Fellowship Program. It is required by every participant to fill the application form and send it back to us – which will give us an insight into your thought process, understanding and expectations from Salamti Fellowship.

درخواست فارم بھرنا کیوں ضروری ہے؟
جواب: درخواست فارم سلامتی فیلوشپ پروگرام کے لئے اہلیت کی لازمی شرط ہے. ہر امیدوارکے لئے ضروری ہے کہ وہ درخواست فارم کو پُر کرکے ہمارے پاس واپس بھیجے- اس سے ہمیں آپ کے سوچنے کے عمل ، سلامتی فیلوشپ سے متعلق آپ کی سمجھ بوجھ اور اس سے وابسطہ توقعات کو جاننے میں مدد ملے گی۔

5. What will increase our chances of selection?
The increased chance of your selection for the fellowship depends on a number of components, first and foremost, the completion and submission of Salamti Fellowship Cohort-VI Application Form. Once this is done, the shortlisted candidates would be required to carry out one Special Assignment/Activity to increase their chances of selection. Furthermore, preference would be given to individuals who already have on-ground presence through their initiatives or affiliation with some organization working for peace, tolerance, inter-faith harmony, social justice and in other related domains. The prior experience will help you to replicate the learned strategies in your communities. However, it is strongly recommended that even if you don’t have prior experience, but a passion for peace building – you should apply.

آپ کے منتخب ہونے کے امکانات کیسے بڑھیں گے؟
جواب: فیلوشپ کے لیے آپ کے منتخب ہونے کے امکانات مختلف عناصر پر منحصر ہیں : سب سے پہلے آپ کو سلامتی فیلو شپ Cohort – VI کا درخواستی فارم مکمل بھرنا اور جمع کروانا ہو گا۔ اس کے بعد ، چنےگئے امیدواروں کو اپنے انتخاب کےامکانات بڑھانے کے لئے ایک خصوصی سرگرمی انجام دینے کی ضرورت ہوگی۔ مزید یہ کہ، ان افراد کو ترجیح دی جائے گی جو امن ، رواداری ، بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی ، سماجی انصاف اور دیگر متعلقہ شعبوں کے لئے کام کرنے والی کسی تنظیم کے ساتھ پہلے سے اپنے اقدامات یا وابستگی کے ذریعہ منسلک ہیں۔ پرانا تجربہ آپ کو فیلوشپ میں سیکھی گئی حکمت عملیوں کواپنی برادریوں میں بروئےکارلانے میں مددگارہوگا۔ تاہم، اگرآپ تجربہ کار نہیں، مگرقیام امن کے لئے ایک جذبہ رکھتے ہیں توبھی آپ کودرخواست جمع کروانی چاہی-

6. What follows, after the application form is submitted?
Once you have completed and successfully submitted the online application form, all of the received forms will be evaluated and after a thorough scrutiny the applications will be marked according to the set criteria. Later on, you will receive an email from our official address (info@salamtifellowship.pk) informing you about the status of your application form. If the application is successful, you will then be notified about the next step which is an online interview. Shortlisted applicants will then be interviewed by team SFEA against the decided criteria and on-spot observations (if any).

درخواست فارم جمع کروانے کے بعد کیا ہوگا؟

7. What follows, after the online interview?
After the online interview, shortlisted participants will be requested to undertake one special assignment that would include a community engagement driven activity on the subjects of peace and CVE. The applicant shall submit a one pager report and pictures from the event to team SFEA within the particular time duration assigned.

8. Who will be managing the accommodation of the participants?
Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) will be responsible for managing all the accommodation related arrangements of the selected participants for 7 days.

9. Who will be managing the travel expense of the participants?
Partial travel allowance (amount to be disclosed at a later stage) will be provided to all the selected participants by Shaoor Foundation, rest of the contribution will be on their own.

10. Are the selected participants required to pay the food expense throughout the fellowship?
This fellowship is entirely merit based, fully funded and free of cost. Thus, you are not required to pay for any food expense, all of the food and living cost will be taken care of by Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness.

کیا منتخب شرکاء کو فیلو شپ کے دوران کھانے کے اخراجات ادا کرنے کی ضرورت ہے؟

11. Will the participants share room with anyone during the training?
Yes, every participant will be sharing room with another training participant, in twin sharing.

12. What will be the dress code for the fellowship?
You are required to wear earth tones with limited color vibrancy as the concept of this fellowship revolves around the attainment of inner peace and providing you all, a way towards self-reflection and community building. No heavy makeup/jewelry will be appreciated as well.

فیلوشپ کے لئے ضابطہ لباس کیا ہوگا؟
جواب: آپ کو دھیمے رنگت والے کپڑے پہننے ہوں گے کیونکہ اس فیلو شپ کا تصور اندرونی امن کے حصول، سماجی بہبود اور خود شناسی کے ارد گرد گھومتا ہے۔ کسی بھاری میک اپ / زیورات کااستعمال بھی منع ہے-

13. Who should the participants reach out to, in case of any query/emergency?
On your arrival to the designated location, you will be given a list of contact numbers of our team members that you can reach out to if there occurs any emergency.

کسی بھی سوال / ہنگامی صورتحال کی صورت میں شرکاء کو کس سے رابطہ کرنا چاہئے؟
جواب: مقررہ مقام پر پہنچنے کے بعد آپ کو ہماری ٹیم ممبران کے رابطہ نمبروں کی ایک فہرست دی جائے گی جس پر آپ کوئی ہنگامی صورتحال ہونے پر رابطہ کر سکتے ہیں۔

14. How will the fellowship take place during this Pandemic?
We will be keeping a sharp eye on the situation as it unfolds and hoping that the situation stabilizes soon. SFEA will not make any decision that can put potential fellows in harm’s way. The dates for the fellowship are tentative and can be changed in case the COVID19 situation remains the same or worse, God forbid. However, the process of applications for the selection of fellows will remain the same. It is requested to everyone to apply by the given dates and not expect any extension in deadlines.

اس عالمی وباء کے دوران فیلوشپ کیسے ہوگی؟
جواب: ہم اس صورتحال پر کڑی نگاہ رکھیں گے اور امید ہے کہ صورتحال جلد ہی مستحکم ہوجائے گی۔ SFEA کوئی ایسا فیصلہ نہیں کرے گا جو شرکاء کے لئے نقصان کا باعث بن سکے۔ فیلو شپ کی تاریخ عارضی ہے اور اگر COVID-19 کی صورتحال، خدا نخواستہ، اتنی ہی خراب یا بدتر رہتی ہے تو اسے تبدیل کیا جاسکتا ہے ۔ تاہم ، شرکاء کے انتخاب کے لئے درخواستوں کا عمل یکساں رہے گا۔ تمام لوگوں سے درخواست ہے کہ دی گئ تاریخوں کے مطابق درخواست جمع کرواٗیں اورتاریخ میں توسیع کی توقع نہ رکھیں۔

15. If the selection process is completed but the fellowship is postponed due to the Pandemic, will the fellowship take place at a later date?
Yes, the fellowship will be rescheduled to later dates with same fellows being our primary choice of participants.

اگر انتخاب کا عمل مکمل ہو گیا ہے لیکن عالمی وباء کی وجہ سے فیلوشپ ملتوی کردی گئی تو، کیا فیلوشپ طےکردہ تاریخ کے بعد ہوگی؟
جواب: جی ہاں ، فیلوشپ کو بعد کی تاریخوں میں دوبارہ شیڈول کیا جائے گا جس میں ہمارے پہلے سے منتخب کردہ شرکاء شریک ہوں گے۔

16. If a selected participant is not able to participate in the fellowship on the rescheduled dates, will the fellowship take place with fewer than 30 participants?
We have never faced an unfortunate situation like this and therefore the Salamti Fellows network has grown 90 fellows strong till date, however, in case if a selected participant is unable to attend the fellowship at a later date, we will be considering one of the other shortlisted fellows who were not being able to make it to our top 30 candidates.
