Cohort-I
7-day fellowship program among the best 30 participants from all across Pakistan – meet the very first cohort of Salamti Fellowship Program. The fellowship was held at Bhurban from 29th September to 5th October 2018.
Through the very first fellowship, we did not just try to inculcate the dire need of acceptance towards inclusivity but also provoked a sense to critically think about the importance of peace, harmony, and CVE (countering violent extremism). It was a journey towards self-exploration, finding focus or life’s mantra through meditation, dialogue sessions and collective recommendations of a strong National Security Plan or National Peace Charter, knowing each other and finding solutions to the varying problems from province to province and accepting each other’s differences by bracing each other to achieve a collective dream. Since then, everything that was planned for these 7 days had contributed towards a mutual goal and that is a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
This fellowship was enlightened by our ideal line of speakers including Syed Bilal Qutab, Dr. Arshi Saleem Hashmi, Dr. Munazza Yaqoob, Mr. Muhammad Usman Asghar, Ms. Humaira Masihuddin, and Mr. Wajih Nizami.
The whole fellowship was a true example of exceptional teamwork, sharing the basic knowledge and understanding of the subject fields under the leadership of the team of Peace Without Borders. To know more about the fellows of Cohort-I and their incredible work and profiles, look at the list below:
