Profile Brief | Amir Hussain Qureshi is a Poet, Narrator, Blogger, Student of Literature and Islamic Sciences. Amir had done graduation from University of Punjab, Lahore and Masters in English Language and Literature from National University of Modern Languages, Lahore. He is studying MPhil English Literature at Riphah Institute of Language and Literature, Riphah International University, Lahore. He is also last year Student of Dars-e-Nizami (8th year course of Madrasa based education, which is equivalent to Masters in Islamic Studies) at Jamia Naeemia, Lahore. Amir has been participating in National and international conferences, workshops, events and fellowships. In July 2016, he had participated in 2 weeks Summer School titled as “Questions of Historiography” at University of Erfurt, Germany. He has also worked for 3 years with Diocese of Riwind Church of Pakistan, Lahore, as a Muslim Youth Leader on several topics including interfaith dialogue, Religious Harmony, peace building, climate change and gender equally. Moreover he is also alumna of English Access Scholarship program (an American English language class of two years) and member of Pakistan US Alumni network. Above all, Amir is Co-Founder and President of Naeemia Intellectual Forum, a Madrasa based student organization. NIF conducts discussions, talks, workshops and seminars on different issues pertaining to religion, society and politics like Gender equality, Religious pluralism and plurality, Peace Building, Promoting dialogue among youth and so on. Where Amir is playing an active role in social activities, he has also been serving as Teacher at different institutions from 2016. He has served as humanities lecturer at Dr Sarfraz Naeemi Institute of Peace, Education and research for 2 years. Recently Amir is serving as English Lecturer at Department of Uloom-e-Asria, Jamia Naeemia, lahore. |
