Ishrat is clinical psychologist who is very vocal and unapologetic. She has shattered the gender stereotypes took some bold steps for girls in her society.

Being a human rights defender and a development practitioner, She is currently serving at University of Baltistan, as focal person of “Well-Being Center”, Apart from that She is the member as Research Associate of International Organization Community of Peace Development in Bangladesh.

Aiming to fight with the taboos attached to Mental health, she has founded a mental health center with name “Institute of Psychological Wellbeing and Research Center”. And working with UMANG as counselor and Working with AKRSP in project SMK by UNFPA.

She has represented Pakistan on many international platforms, during her degree in USA and won ‘Exemplary Leadership Award’ by US State Department.
