Profile Brief | Rida Tanvir is a PhD scholar of International Relations at Quaid I Azam University with her specialty on Terrorism and Counter Terrorism and Extremism. She is also specializing on the subject of cultural impacts on Nationalism in Iran. Apart from that Rida is the peace ambassador for Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness Pakistan. Rida has served as a visiting faculty member for Quaid I Azam University for over 3 years and has delivered the message of peace and love in the beginning of every class. Rida has been quite active in volunteer work since the age of 9 when she volunteered for a school plantation campaign. She also volunteered for charity collection initiative for a Shaukat Khanum cancer hospital. She occasionally conducts one day camp on a lower level by helping underprivileged people through provision food and clothes. She is a promoter of the rights of the transgender community. Rida has also worked on the awareness of Thalassemia blood disorder awareness drive and have often provided herself and others for the noble cause of blood donation. She is currently a currently an adviser to Youth General Assembly which works for the policy building in regards to education for all. Rida is keen supporter of empowered women and stands as such. She aspires to own an NGO of her own where she can help the neglected and deprived souls of her country and someday even break the barriers of the border to serve humanity as whole. |
