Profile Brief | “Romasa Jami Chandio is a young writer, artist, law student and a dedicated activist. She is President of ‘Youth Empowerment Council”, a Hyderabad based voluntary forum of progressive youth, which has been working as a vibrant pluralistic YOUTH forum in Hyderabad/Sindh province since 2014. She has been organizing public events of youth at large scale, which include educational festivals, human rights sensitization seminars, training workshops for youth and voluntary philanthropic campaigns for vulnerable communities since 2015. She has been writing columns on human rights and civic education in daily Sindh Express. She is an expert in communications skills, social networking, event management and as well as youth mobilization for meaningful endeavors. She is an excellent motivational public speaker and an experienced young moderator of workshops and seminars and delivers lectures on human rights and civic education themes. She has good command on liberal themes i.e., democracy, federalism, secularism, rule of law, human rights and justice theory. In addition to that, she has integrated her community work with her art, her paintings are often thematic and address social evil that exist in society. More recently she has worked with Hyderabad based universities on their institutional policy on harassment against women. Which includes formation of support groups and conducting interactive sessions on understanding “THE PROTECTION AGAINST HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT THE WORKPLACE ACT 2010”. |
