What is your favorite memory of Salamti Fellowship? (Word Limit: 100-150) * | Roshini is from a Hindu Community belonging to Shahdadkot, a small town in Rural Sindh. She is a graduate from Government College University Lahore and is currently pursuing her masters from China. She is also a Social activist who has been volunteering with different Ngos working on interfaith harmony, peace and Human rights. She was also selected for the Amal fellowship US based program. Besides this, she has been attending different training workshops on religious tolerance and acceptance. She also remained part of different online events on peace. She also remains internee in the Young Peacemakers program by The Grief Directory organization. She was Co Team facilitator with one day Storytelling event organized by Soch the alternative media organization in Lahore. Along this she started her individual initiative on Peace and Interfaith harmony .In this initiative, she has been organizing different religious events with people from different faiths since 2019. With this, she has also been arranging diversity visits to different religious places in Lahore with youth from diverse backgrounds. In 2019, she with her friends arranged Ramadan iftar in Mandir, Gurdwara and Church for promoting peace and interfaith harmony. She also arranged Sabeel in Ramadan to spread a message of humanity and peace. She has also been working on a mental health awareness program among youth with a psychologist in Lahore. Her work is also on Forced conversion of minority females especially Hindu females. Currently, she is involved in different welfare, peace and interfaith activities that she believes in creating awareness and working on ground root levels. |
