Profile Brief | Sail Muhammad the Managing director of (Dust on Books) is a Bacha Khan Fellow and the coordinator of youth peace network Sawbi.He is also the chairman of a local support organisation Sawbi, who runs a handicrafts centre, career counseling, women rights and education locally and active member of “Aware girls” and national youth organisation Sawbi. He was born in Sawabi and student of the university of swabi sociology department . Sail Muhammad is a peace, social and political activist. In 2014 he was elected as Bacha Khan Fellow and then he joined youth peace network. He then started a campaign in his home town of Sawabi with the name “we can bring peace” through which he wanted to educate youth about human rights, women rights and peace. He would also guide youth to prevent them from getting into the hands of terrorist organisations. For this he started arranging positive activities such as sports, musical and other competitions. He has also initiated Aman sports academy and Aman rabab academy and arranges cultural programmes in different cities. In addition he also campaigned about banning fake guns. He thinks that these kind of toys are making our young ones violent, and would be better if they were given a book instead. This made him join DustonBooks. He started gathering like minded students and These students campaign for peace in their villages, colleges and Universities. |
