Saira Rashad is a Lecturer in English at Government Postgraduate College for Women, Sargodha with a special interest in Literature. She has a passion for bringing positive change in society especially viz-a-viz gender issues. She has attended many workshops and training seminars organized by different development sector entities. She is also a part of Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies and is an active member and works on the themes of social cohesion and harmony. She has launched her own initiative Hum Sub that works on the themes of diversity and has organized a few events under its banner. She is also ambassador from Sargodha for Women Leaders Adventure Camp based in Sawt valley.
Saira is also an alumna of Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at University of Georgia (2016-2017). She is passionate about girls’ education and believes that no real change is possible until the women are empowered and start contributing proportional to their numerical presence.
