Saira Zahid belongs to the land of mountains called Skardu. A student of English Literature, she has a deep interest in music, art and literature. She is passionate about books, poetry and photography.
Saira is a travel enthusiast, a blogger and an activist. She is currently working as a program coordinator and content writing head of Young Leadership Program and Madrasa Leadership Program, respectively. She is also the president of Pyaam Society at UOL. Her focus is on building interfaith harmony and inclusion by bridging the gap between different communities. She has been actively participating in both national and international events. She has participated in many leadership programs too. She has recently completed a training on investigative journalism and digital security from Jakarta Indonesia.
Saira has spoken about environmental issues in front of a diverse audience. She also speaks against inequality and has been part of ‘Fight Youth Against Inequality Alliance’ by OXFAM and CHANAN.
Saira is also passionate about animal rights and documents their issues and struggles under her Instagram blog. She worked with Pakistan US Alumni Network Gilgit Baltistan chapter as Youth Director. She has volunteered for more than twenty organizations and has worked on different community engagement programs and social, global issues.
Saira is an eager cyclist, an adventurous hiker and wall climber too. She has won many medals in cycling and scored positions in many national events.
