A one day seminar was organized by Pirah Sapna to highlight the importance of gender equality and its significance toward the development of societies. Considering the fact that inequality between the genders doesn’t just affect individuals, however, it can change the entire structure of social and civic development, Pirah takes into account the gender equality in overall development of the nation. It was the first of its own kind of seminar organized with the objective of understanding and integrating gender equality at Government Girls College, Pano Aqil. The speakers and participants reflected upon the importance of equal opportunities regarding education and employment for women which leads to sustainable development. One of the speakers highlighted that gender equality has certainly been shown to stimulate social, political and economic growth, which is crucial for developing countries. Moreover, students shared their perspectives and stories regarding gender equality and equal opportunities. This helped them to think out of the box and explore new dimensions for the first time in their institution.
