Salamti Fellowship Program: SFP is an extensive 1-week long fully funded tech-free residential fellowship program for the peace seekers aged between 18-35 years from all across Pakistan. Fellows will be students, social leaders and peace seekers who would be willing to work as Master Trainers. They would also be actively engaged in peace building activities in their respective districts. The idea is to provide enough knowledge, experience, expertise, motivation and support network linked with peace experts and mentors that could create an ecosystem of peace-builders who would play their part in their particular communities. The alumni of the Program as master trainers, would provide guidance to ‘newcomers.
The participants of the fellowship are going to be the ones who have “potential” to become master trainers or first responders: people who would actively work for peace-building in their communities and reject violence through community-based initiatives. Preference would be given to individuals who already have on-ground presence through their initiatives or affiliated with some organization working for peace, tolerance, social justice etc. After the completion of fellowship, the alumni would stay connected with SFEA to conduct on ground activities related to community building and promoting tolerance and inclusivity in their particular areas.
Salamti Fellowship Program is a unique peace fellowship program by Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) under its peacebuilding campaign called Peace Without Borders. Shaoor initiated this flagship program on September 27, 2017 as one of the peace activities under the project AmnQalaab (Peace Revolution).
