Salamti Fellowship Header

Salamti Fellowship Program (SFP), launched on September 27, 2017, is a flagship peacebuilding initiative of the Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) under its national campaign Peace Without Borders. It is one of Pakistan’s first fully funded, residential, and tech-free fellowships focused on peacebuilding, tolerance, and inclusivity.

The program trains young peacebuilders, activists, and community leaders aged 18–35 through an intensive 7-day residential training, bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds to become Peace Agents in their communities. So far, 390 fellows across 13 cohorts have been trained, now active in 80+ districts, addressing issues like intolerance, polarization, and conflict resolution.

SFEA, established in 2008 and formally registered in 2012, works nationwide to promote peace, democracy, environmental sustainability, civic engagement, and youth empowerment through partnerships with national and international organizations. Together, SFP, Peace Without Borders, and SFEA are fostering a sustainable, fellows-led network driving Pakistan toward a more tolerant and inclusive future.
