
Ms. Sumera Khalil is a lecturer of English at Government College University Lahore and has pioneered the GCU-Women Development Centre. With 18 years of experience in shaping student development curricula, she has taught at multiple renowned Pakistani institutes. Ms. Khalil is also a moderator, writer, and storyteller, having collaborated with organizations such as Faiz Foundation Trust, Alhamra Arts Council, and the Walled City of Lahore Authority. She has co-advised the GCU Dramatics Club, co-directed ‘Theatre of Resistance’ plays, and initiated the First All Women Theatre Festival at Lahore Arts Council, Alhamra, in 2023. Additionally, she has participated in and hosted sessions at the multilingual and multicultural ‘Tahbib Festival’ in the UAE. She holds a Master’s in English from Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan, and an M.Phil. in English Literature from GCU Lahore. Ms. Khalil has volunteered at events like the Alhamra International Literary & Cultural Festival and the Lahore Literary Festival and is a member of LIONS Club International, a nonprofit aiding those in need.
