The Salamti Fellowship Program (SFP) is Pakistan’s first tech-free, fully-funded, residential fellowship dedicated to peacebuilding, tolerance, and social cohesion. Launched in 2017 under the Peace Without Borders campaign by the Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA), Salamti brings together young peacebuilders, activists, influencers, and community leaders aged 18–35 from across the country.
Each fellowship is designed as an intensive 7-day residential experience where selected fellows immerse themselves in expert-led sessions, interactive activities, and reflective practices that foster empathy, dialogue, and leadership. Topics are carefully chosen to address pressing societal challenges—ranging from intolerance and polarization to misinformation, gender inequality, and interfaith harmony—ensuring that participants leave with practical tools and strategies to drive change in their communities.
More than just training, Salamti equips its fellows to transform learning into action through Community Action Projects (CAPs), directly impacting local communities. With over 390 fellows across 13 cohorts and 207 CAPs implemented nationwide, Salamti is nurturing a growing network of peace agents committed to building a more tolerant and inclusive Pakistan
