Profile Brief

Aiman Nadeem is a 21 years old Undergraduate Student of International relations at BUITEMS, University, Quetta. She has been working as a Youth Activist and Student Vice President with the College of Youth Activism and Development (CYAA, which is a non-profit organization created to empower Pakistani youth by providing them with opportunities for education, and technical training. She was short-listed by the organization among 29 other members to be a part of a 5-day workshop on “Conflict resolution and collaboration through Creative Expression.” From there began her social activism journey, where she collaborated with CYAAD to organize seminars, meetings, training, and podcasts on various engagement topics such as: “International Languages day”, where she helped arrange the SAP allowing women from various subcultures of Pakistan to come forward and promote ethnic harmony. Her second SAP was based on the topic of “Women empowerment” where many young girls were called from the rural parts of Balochistan to talk about their inspirational stories.

Her idea of promoting youth empowerment through podcasts was shortlisted and eventually organized through the collaboration of CYAAD. She has been an active volunteer at her university, where she helped in organizing fund-raising campaigns for Cancer patients in collaboration with the members of the Girls Society of BUITEMS University.

Her academic background makes her an individual directly involved with the topics of Sustainable Development Goals, and Peaceful Conflict Resolution. She is currently looking for more opportunities to enhance her potential and serve as an asset to society as well. She has also been shortlisted as an internee for the upcoming internship at the ISPR’s GHQ Headquarters, Islamabad. She is a young researcher working on the topic of “United Nations Resolution 1325: Induction of Women in Peacekeeping”, where she is working on the impact of armed conflict on women in conflict-struck regions such as Congo and Liberia. She is working on how conflict-prevention initiatives can reduce armed conflicts, and civil wars, and how peacebuilding as an aspect can be ensured in all societies.

She has also received a certificate in Digital Marketing, and CV Writing from the S&P Global (Career Development and Monitoring Program). As per her personal interests, she has been learning new languages to enhance her skillset (Korean, Mandarin, Arabic) because she believes that languages can help to promote cohesion in society. To conclude, she has been a keen and ambitious individual and is currently looking for a new platform to initiate her new Community Action project ideas.
