She has also served as lady counsellor  in the local govt. at district Kohat for two years, helped school and college girls to create awareness in gender equality, to participate in sports and know their rights. Asma Bangash is co-chairperson of jail and prisoner’s inspection committee of Islamabad high court bar association and looks after basic human rights of prisoners in jail and right to trial, paying surprise visits and reporting on prison and prisoners’ issues. She hopes to help implement, promote, and protect human rights, rule of law and interfaith harmony in Pakistan and developing countries. She feels that all people, both inside and outside our nation’s borders- have a right to social equality regardless of socio-economic standards and live at peace.
