Profile Brief

Jamaima is a student of Law (LLB) at Benazir University Peshawar. She is the first female sportsperson from her area. She is also a champion of badminton and squash at the regional level. She has had the honor of winning a bronze medal in Wushu on interprovincial level. She was also part of the FATA Striker cricket team at national level. Apart from being a sportsperson she is also a researcher, CJ, social activist, and peace agent.

She has previously worked with different organizations like UNDP, FRC, and UN Women as a researcher to conduct research on different issues pertaining to females at the conflict-prone merged district or Ex-FATA. Jamaima has also worked as a grass root leader with NDI, CGPA, and “She-Lead” to highlight local issues especially related to females. Currently she is working as a CJ (citizen journalist) with TNN (Tribal News Network) and Maati T.V. Being a CJ (citizen journalist) she continuously tries to highpoint those issues which are not highlighted by mainstream media. 

She is also serving as a finance secretary of the “Waak” movement. The movement aims to work for the betterment of female living standards and to ensure their political and economic rights. She was also fortunate enough to complete the English Access Micro scholarship program which was headed by US Consulate General Peshawar. Along with that she is also a PUAN Alumni.

Additionally, she is a travelling enthusiast who has an eye for capturing beautiful moments. She loves to capture moments depicting coexistence, peace, and harmony. She believes through the power of social media one can promote peace, harmony and coexistence.
