Profile Brief

Rahila Emmanuel is a development professional and has been working with international and national NGOs for the last 10 years. She has acquired a business management degree from Pakistan and secured a scholarship for a certification from the U.S. State Department. She has worked on national and internationally funded projects for social development, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, minority rights, peace and harmony in different regions of Pakistan. Her contribution towards women empowerment and ending gender based violence is highly commendable. Likewise, Rahila has successfully executed a women empowerment project solely based on economic empowerment of women to improve their social status
Being an active member of Pakistan U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) she has co-facilitated a pilot project of U.S. Secretary of State’s Office of Religion and Global Affairs; DIYA (Days of Inter Religious Youth Action) for awareness raising among 50 diverse youth members to foster harmony. Under an alumni small grant project 200 plus youth members were trained from diverse religious communities on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) skills and overcame identity crisis to foster youth engagement for peace promotion. As a volunteer with Catholic Women Organization she has been facilitating training workshops on women empowerment.
As a freelance trainer, she has delivered training workshops on various subjects ranging from Human Resource, Leadership, Team Building, Peace, Interfaith Harmony and Social Justice. Her areas of interest and expertise include networking, advocacy initiatives, human rights protection by enabling human rights defenders to report violations of their locale. She also has professional affiliations and is a member of several youth development, protection against gender based violence alliances and volunteer groups for social justice.
