Profile Brief

Zarmeena Khan is a social worker, peace builder and a change maker. She has done her Masters in the field of Physiology from University of Karachi in year 2019. She is the founder of Teach Peace, an organization that work to promote message of peace, tolerance and co-existence in society. She has organized Peace Summits twice in the Karachi city in order to shed light towards the important issues like interfaith harmony, co-existence with transgender and CVE. She was the Salamti fellow of Peace Without Borders-Pakistan (Cohort-II)
She has been serving as a head of Education Department at non-governmental organization ‘Save A life Welfare Association’ since 2017 through which she worked greatly along with her team in order to provide education to underprivileged children and admitting them to government schools. She has been actively working in government schools and universities in conducting trainings and diffusing knowledge of peace and acceptance. She is also a founding member of ARA, which organized several workshops for mental health, depression and suicide within the campus.
She is associated with other educational organizations that work to bring STEAM based education in Pakistan. This year, she is the Challenge Master for Steam X-treme 2020. Along with it, an active part of AEIRC in organizing scientific events and conferences since 2017.
She has served as Vice President at departmental council in 2018, also a core member of CSR society of UOK in 2019. She received a Gold Medal by University of Karachi in 2019 for bringing pride to biggest university of Karachi. She was also acknowledged for SWERA awards in 2019 on world NGO day.
