Nazia Baloch is the trainer, social activist and Peacebuilder. She has worked for Women Rights as well. Nazia is currently working as a Trainer in Azme Naujawan Project with Women Development Foundation Pakistan. She is giving her contribution as a President in Lyari Literary Forum. She has worked various Projects about Women Empowerment, Youth Development and community development. She has volunteered various Programs include; Baloch Human Rights Organization, BBSYDP and JICA. Currently she is also voluntarily working for Female Home Based Workers and introducing them in formal sector and improving their well-being.

Nazia Baloch is the alumni of Salamati Fellowship by Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) and awarded as a change maker by Sindh Youth Organization.  She has attended various workshops and seminars regarding Women issues, peace building and Counter Violent Extremism. She obtained various skills and learning by her four years of work experience in Development Sactor. She has very dedicated and passionate regarding her work. She engaged community in positive and healthy activities to sustain their long term vision for their own community. Further she has trained and mentor more than 200 youth and women to maintain peace in their community and Social Action Project.

Brief Report on Community Action Project by Salamti Fellow Cohort – III

Project Name: Fun-e-Mussawari

Topic: Understanding the Emotions through Art and Music  

Salamati Fellowship Program is a unique platform which sensitizes its fellows regarding community growth throughout the seven days of training so that they can play their part to create social cohesion and development in their societies. After the fellowship, it is mandatory for the fellows to go back in their communities and implement the learnings through community-based projects. The Salamati Fellowship Cohort III also worked on CAP titled Fun-e-Musawari which is based on understanding emotions through Art and Culture which has organized on 12th January 2020 at Azme Naujawan Maripur Youth Center. Community action project done by our fellow Nazia Baboo from Cohort III, it was the one day workshop about the emotional Intelligence through Art and Music. Session conducted by Ms. Sonal Dhanani, she is the Art Therapist and Trainer and working as a President of Parinday Organization and Program Coordinator Family and Education Services Foundation (FESF). The 1 day workshop titled “Fun-e Mussawari” was an initiative to involved the youth to understand their emotions, the different types of emotions, and why expressing them constructively is important as a human being. Through this session youth understood their emotion and also an increased knowledge of “EQ” to improve their interpersonal and intra-personal skills, adaptability, stress management and general mood. The session was also aimed to develop their self-awareness and self-management of personal emotions, and also they learnt some techniques on how to manage emotions such as anger, stress and anxiety. Session began from Meditation session with soft music. After the meditation the facilitator distributes the card sheet to share their emotions and feelings through Art and draw your feelings with Paint and colors. The participants share their emotions and the negative things which come from others, effecting their personality and how it difficult to enhance their positive feeling in such situation Even though they shared their worst experience regarding their feelings. Trainer said that write your good strength and skills in the paper and visualized that what situation could blur their positive thoughts and strength. It was the great interaction with participants and all are from different field and profession as well. The Participants share their views and feelings as well during the session. Next session was conducted by Ahad Khan who is guitarist and Drum Instructor. Who shared his experiences that how the music help you to release your depression and anxiety. He used the waste material to create Music which can help you connect yourself with music beats. Art is play the vital role in your mental health and work as the therapy in your life

Ms. Afifa Javed – Project Manager AmnQalaab , Sohjla Project Coordinator AmnQalaab ,also attended the program and appreaciate the work of fellows and introducting the mental health among the community women and youth furthermore she also glad to see the youth creating peace in their community to promoting Art and Culture .Madam Sabiha Shah CEO of  Women Development Foundation Pakistan and Abdul Rahim Moosvi The program Manager of Community Peace Baithak , Mr. Waleed the CEO of Kraft Center and Salamati Fellow Cohort-II , Sidra Khan the Cohort-III also attended the session and highly appreciate the efforts of Peace agent and success of the event. Afifa Javed delivered her speech after the Event As they performed well during the fellowship and after their CAP we expected more to your peace agent regarding promoting peace in their community. they are showing their  best with full dedication and commitment regarding betterment of society.
