Dr. Shuja Ahmed

Dr. Shuja Ahmad has been teaching at the department of Philosophy, University of Peshawar, since 2000. He is Head of the Department of Philosophy. He has a PhD in Philosophy, Maters in Philosophy and Economics and Bachelors in Mathematics. He has been teaching “Logic and Critical Thinking”, “Philosophy of Language”, “Philosophy of Science” and courses of Modern Philosophy since 2000. He has vast experience of conducting workshops and trainings at the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Higher Education Academy of Research and Training (HEART) and at various other universities in Pakistan. The workshops, trainings and talks mainly focus on: The Art of Argumentation; Issues of Ethics, Logic and Critical Thinking in Research; What is knowledge? Discourse Analysis- Creative and Critical Thinking in the Context of Media; Philosophy of Science- the Problem of Demarcation between Science and Pseudo Science and Importance/Significance of Philosophy in Life
