Cohort-II
7 Days, 30 Participants, 1 Destination, 1 Goal – Meet the outshining fellows of Salamti Fellowship Cohort-II. The fellowship was held at Bhurban from 20th to 26th July 2019.
Through this program, we incited a sense to fundamentally consider the significance of peace, and CVE (Countering Violent Extremism) along with the idea to inculcate the acceptance towards inclusivity, tolerance, and social cohesion. From an adventure to explore one-self and focus on thinking patterns through meditation, to the learnings and arguments in dialogue sessions, it’s a holistic journey from knowing each other and sharing the vision while giving solutions of critical problems in a true sense. Everything that was arranged for these seven days had contributed towards a mutual objective towards a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
This fellowship was enlightened by our ideal line of speakers including Ms. Maria Effendi (Associate Professor NDU), Ms. Sofia Hussain (Assistant Professor IIUI), Dr. Qibla Ayaz (Chairman Islamic Ideology Council), Ms. Jennifer Jag Jivan (Executive Director Christian Study Centre), Mr. Radesh Singh Tony (President Pakistan Minorities Alliance), Wajih Nizami (Sitarist and Founder Rung School of Music and Arts), Mr. Usman Asghar (Ph.D. scholar/Researcher/Assistant Professor NDU), Mr. Farnood Alam (Writer/Intellectual/Blogger), Dr. Farhat Meher (Acting Head Department of English IIUI), Dr. Adnan Rafiq (Political Analyst), Dr. Uxi Mufti (Cultural Expert/Author/Founder Lok Virsa), Sana Bucha (Journalist/Anchor), Haider Ali Baig & Samar Akhtar (Salamti Fellows Cohort-I respectively).
